    1. One of the nurses there commented.
"Really?! I saw him lying on the ER hospital bed awhile ago before our shift ended.
In fact, gi.oxygen gyd xa wyl nagwait sa = he has got an oxygen while he waits
doctor ky naa pa ms priority sa ICU= because the doctor had another priority at the icu
nd my co-workers did checked his vital signs mn pd upon arriving sa ER.
Completely ignored na daun na?!= taking the p*ss , a Bisaya expression
    2. Goshhh mkareact pd tag ahat ani"=it is not necessarry to react , should not react on it
    Another local:
"Mr. Cohen is starting to get pretty annoying and the ignorance of some people in the comments
(nagpapakaHero ang mga comment =all comments on it are trying to be a hero.. aba matinde.=too much comment..
    3. parang alam ang buong estorya =he thinks he knows all the story I still pity him.. but not the same pity I had for him during the Robinson's Incident.. Now I pity his crave for Public Attention... he's becoming more like an Attention (pardon my language) Wh*re. He needs to stop making issues that leave Dumaguete City with bad marks >_> If he's trying to teach everyone something important.. then he could go for something more formal like Seminars... Not something full of crappy Drama."

The local people appear frustrated at the over dramatization that Marky is displaying. (just my observation). Tony

    Marky's facebook , 1hr ago

I'd also like to apologize for pushy and rude, and for insisting that Happy and I be allowed to go everywhere. In the future some places will let us enter, and others may prefer that we not enter. I'll respect that and not make an issue out of it. I really like Dumaguete and plan to stay in the Philippines. I'm here to work with families that have kids with Autism and Down's, and I'll keep a low profile otherwise. I'm sorry if I offended, disturbed or embarrassed anyone. That really wasn't my intention.

I will leave it with you JP...........

A question that asks for a decision but only one answer that can give peace and happy

I will say once again before I came to the Philippines I knew I had to make a decision. Was I going to try to change a whole country of Filipinos to think like me or was I going to try to change to think like them? I knew that was a question but there is really no choice of answers if you want to be happy here. Slowly I have been able to adjust to the Filipino cultural and survival concepts, I still have a way to go, and it certainly has not been immediate or automatic.

A good example is to be driving down the road and see someone (usually a motorcycle) turn left in front of you and go down the wrong side of the road to make a left turn. It was, and still is, a little scary to me to experience this way of driving particularly at night when I am on a motorcycle too. How ever if the oncoming motorcycle stopped in the middle of the road to make a 90 degree turn in front of me, more than likely he would be flying over my head as someone ran into the rear end of him, particularly if is was at night and he forgot to fix all his tail lights for the last year or so (rear tail lights or a head light can cost a days wages for a Filipino, what did they cast in your native country... an hour?) . There is a reason they drive like they do ... it is called survival even though they do not live by the same survival rules we learned in our native countries ....

I have a meet a lot of foreigners that are angry constantly because they resent the Filipino approach to life, yet they made the decision to move here. All that gives the foreigners is anger and resentment toward the county, Filipinos and eventually their wives and even expat friends. Their unhappiness may have even been the reason they left their native country. I was attracted here for the simpler life, and more peaceful life. I did not come here because of overwhelming anger and resentment with my native county. The only way I have found to get to that goal of peace is to accept this country and cultural as it is, trying to make it better life for all through example of other approaches to living, not thought protest and drama and chaos.

Obviously Happy's master is more of the philosophy of changing the world through protest, drama and chaos. That is not part of the Filipino culture although it may be needed. There are other way to improve the world that I am trying to utilize in my life. Thank God, Happy seems happy, and me too many times.

sntmig--since you seem to be acting as his literary alter ego, please relay this message to him:

I certainly would never presume to speak for any other DI members, but I am personally delighted that your sorry @ss is out of Dumaguete---hopefully, NEVER to return. Your dog Happy deserves far better than to be tied to a person of your calibre. GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!
