wearing sandals with white socks, walking in the sun half naked, eating bread for breakfast instead of rice, drinking beer in the morning, building a huge house for only 2 people, not learning/understanding the local language, arrogant white pride attitude, complaining about food / service etc ... just to mention a few more or less important issues.

Another strange thing about white people:

    Fishing as a “Leisure Activity”.

Why spend all that hours to catch one fish only to throw it back in the water? Stupid Puti. They want to catch fish, use nets.

Greed, indifference, lying to make a sale and so on, corruption, littering, skin tax, extortion, bribery, endless attempts at short changing, almost total disregard of any driving laws, seem to be just part of the culture here. By the way, always watch them up close when filling your car with gas as they tend to slip a liter into a bottle of theirs when you are not looking. Just part of the culture I suppose. An older doctor(not one I see, just one I know) I happen to know quite well for many years says that's just the way it is here. So really any complaints are about the culture. Is " just sayin " like some kind of disclaimer ? I guess I could Google what it means but I don't particularly like Google. I can search for the meaning elsewhere, but why ? Why do people say that ?

I am not wearing white socks, I don't walk half naked in the sun, I know a lot of filipino's who have bread as breakfast, so I don't see the point, drinking beer in the morning, not my piece of a cake. Just go around in the morning and watch all those pinoys @ a table with numerous one litre bottles of Red Horse or Pilsen. I am content with my apartment with sala and 2 bedrooms. Arrogant also refers to the locals. Complaining about food/service is not typically foreigners like. So still dont see what you are saying is reflecting to foreigners only as it also can reflect on locals. Just my 5 cents.

I think you're spot on with your statement. People are like that almost in almost every country.

Maybe because giving customers an extra plastic bag might give some customers an opportunity to use those extra bags to put in pilfered items. The guards manning the doors check for receipts not check the items on each receipt. So as long as the items are in a Lee plaza plastic bag, the guards will assume they’ve been paid for with that one receipt dangling from that other plastic bag. You’d be surprised how much money lee plaza loses because of pilferages.

These are stereotypes. You are just one person. Not everyone will fit the mold.

Life is hard. I’m a Filipino, still in Japan, not coming home yet and sorry it’s been a while. I am working for a “lunch box to go” type of food service and I’m also dealing with customers with similar requests mentioned in this thread. In such situations, we tell the customer that we can remove unwanted stuff (if it’s possible) but we need confirmation that the customer is willing to pay the same amount. However, there are cases like for example, the customer insists on having an item chosen from the display that has been paid together with something that has to be cooked yet, to leave it to our care while he/she waits, is against the rule and that we can give their money back, let them go somewhere else if they’re not happy with that. Also, I have a second job in a bakery inside a department store that also sells sandwiches. There are items which if I were allowed to listen to a customer’s wish, like not putting sauce on a croquette, I would. Before I get fired, I would be laughed at by co-workers for being stupid. In this case, we could tell management about it, maybe the customer buys our bun, and buys the croquette in another section of the department store. I used to work in a cafe also, just like what happened on that video, we are only allowed to serve what’s on the menu. One time a customer insisted to have a scrambled egg instead of a sunny-side- up, the owner was there and was annoyed by the request and made the customer pay ¥1000 for one egg (not two) scrambled. The lunch set was ¥750 consisting of a salisbury steak, sunny-side-up, shredded cabbage, rice and miso soup so he paid ¥1,750.
