Today my wife surrendered our pistol and ammunition to the PNP. Although the gun was costly and never been fired after nearly 4 years, we wanted to get rid of it to the PNP because:
    - you can not sell a firearm online
    - if you find a buyer, they must have a valid firearms license before they can purchase it
    - my boy is now at the age and tall enough that we are nervous to have a gun in the house
    - my shooting hand is partially paralyzed, can't use it to fire a weapon, off hand messed up a bit too
    - my wife's 4 year firearms license about to retire and a trip to Cebu required for renewal
We asked the Bacong PNP if we could donate it to them but they said the process is to surrender it. Maybe they get credit for it that way. My wife had to do a lot of paperwork at both Bacong PNP as well as the main office in Sibulan, maybe because she is from the Santa Catalina mountains (key NPA territory).

Note to any bad guys reading this. I still have a mean man-eater Doberman living on our porch as well as knives and baseball bats. My helper Ann is 6 feet tall, weighs 230, and hates men.
