You both might well be right that they look after themselves first.
But I have seen Preachers from quite a lot of different denominations who are doing very well in PI or elsewhere.
Just find it amusing why you should pick out the Catholic Church as an example.
There are a lot of churches built to exactly the same Design throughout Philippines, although I cant remember their denomination.
Where does the money come from for those?
It would appear that the churches have done more to help people than the Philippines Government have since November 2013.

The .uk is an important part to take note of. I picked the Catholic Church because it is by far the largest criminal organisati.....I mean church in the country. The steal directly from the Filipino people and give very little back.....except ringing some bells and praying really hard.

    Sorry don't understand Wrye ,
What do you mean by "steal" ? And nobody is forced to give in the Catholic Church.
Unlike some churches that use the bible quote of tithing, in other words giving 10% of your income.
    So how are they stealing.

Telemarketers don't "steal" from the elderly either. Just because you optionally give someone something doesn't mean you weren't scammed or a victim of a crime. The courts definition of stealing and the real world definition of stealing are two completely different things. Organized religion steals from the poor and gives to themselves.

"If you don't give us money our all-loving imaginary sky daddy will be super mad and ever-so-lovingly throw you in an imaginary fire pit for all eternity after you die." *takes their fear mongering money and builds their lavish churches.

    Well.Wrye
This is going right off topic, so we best leave it now, don't want to start insulting each other's beliefs.
Just leave you with this thought". It's amazing how many non believers start praying when the ship starts sinking.
    Cheers JB

I look for a life boat when the ship starts sinking. I have no problem with people praying.....leaves more leg room in the life boat for the rest of us.
