    And did you reading point out that we touch our faces hundreds of times per day - mostly without realising? If so, you will understand that remembering hundreds of times per day to wash our hands before doing something we don't realise we are doing is far more difficult than covering the places we are touching without realising it.

    Yes, and on the airborne aspect, I have seen a reasonable report that the airborne aspect can extend up to four metres from the carrier via breathing and speaking, not just coughing and sneezing. Better to safe then sorry, Keep your distance when out and about.
