Anyone have any experience with staying/eating/diving with these folks?
The place looks nice, I like the small size, and they say I will be able to do up to 5 dives a day. Sounds great - is it?
    Thanks
    John

HI, I don't think they have an own dive operation,(pls correct me if I am wring) they get some freelancers in and let you dive with them. If you planning to do plenty diving make sure it's in a safe way.(profiles, depth) Better inform yourself about the safty they can provide in the unlikely event things are happenig, like first aid, O2 available....

I thought local dive tables had 2 parts, big fish go deep, huge fish go deeper.

    No?

Actually, I do not think I have the energy for 5 dives a day, but it is nice to have options, and if I am sort of isolated there what else is there to do. Plus I hope to do shallow shore dives for Macro photos. I don't think they really have a dive operation yet, but they say they are working on it. I guess my questions are more about the resort and food there - the only review on Tripadvisor is in French!

the next chamber is in Cebu,
and five dives in a day is no problem, if you dive a propper profile and plan AND listen to your body.

It is actually a big mistake by most of the divers when they think long shallow dives are 'safer'. This kind of dives saturate your slow body tissues that means you 'off-gas' also very slow. At the last diving day, make a normal profile, don't be scared about a deep dive, cause there your fast tissues will be satureted, and they off-gas the same way ... fast.
    cheers

I think saturated is how its spelled, and considering a lot of people are going to be flying out after a week of diving, than do you really think deep dives on the final day are a good idea?

    Diving is dangerous.

People with a lackadaisical attitude (especially toward deep dives) will pay for it eventually.

Marky, exactly that is the wrong thinking of the divers. It is explained in my post above. But again, in long shallow dives your slow body tissues going to fill up with plenty of nitrogen.
Those slow body-tissues are also off-gassing very slow. It takes a way longer time. As the cabin pressure of a aircraft is quite low, bubbles may build and the risk of bends is higher.
But to come back to your question if you wanna dive on the day before you fly it is better to do a 30m dive in the morning and 25 m in the afternoon instead of two 90 minute dives between 10 an 15m.
All dives in the recreational limit can be conducted in a save way.
And you are right, diving is dangerous..... for those who just follow a guide without knowing what they are doing and ignoring the safty- standarts and procedures....
pls don't take it personal but your post is a good example about a completely wrong opinion in the divers-world...
I apologize for my bad English, but I hope it's understandable. If not just drop a line, we can meet for a beer and I can explain it with scratch paper...
    cheers

    Hello Marky

Sorry for you diving is not dangerous if you do what you have learned by a good diving base.
And dont do things above your skills.

    Greetings J.Diver
