    Don't do that. I know of an LLC based in the US that would consider purchasing the forum. (And they wouldn't give two shits about Philippines libel laws.)

    Wow and this is what i have to look forward to in my new hometown?
    I hope this all gets settled soon.
    I found this forum very helpful with making plans for my build and locating things in the local area with a possibility of maybe meeting a few new friends in the area. with Dumaguete making the news as a affordable place to retire and hearing of the road expansions and coming improvements to the area this forum is a valuable asset to many others that are following or just settling in. it would be a shame that would get shut down and ruin it for the many who see the value in it.
    if there needs to be a place to gripe and complain maybe some one will start their own site " things i hate about Dumaguete"
    than they can express whatever thoughts they have but please keep this site and keep it positive.

    It will be what you make of it. As with anywhere, you should pick you friends wisely. The Dumaguete expat community is pretty fragmented and you will figure out quickly what your group will prefer to hang out with. It's not a negative thing, it's just different personalities/nationalities/cultures/interests. That's just life.

    Gotta watch yourself though, a lot of expats have nothing better to do than sit around sipping beer/coffee/tea and gossiping. You'll learn pretty quickly who to stay away from. I highly doubt this forum will go anywhere. I'm sure there will always be someone willing to keep it going.

    Well said Wrye , I just hope everything goes back to normal , and more so I hope that Larry and Rony find some level ground , the last thing needed is for them to have problems because of the shenanigans and repercussions of what goes on in the forum , wish I could help in some way , but don't know how

    I don't think absences are going to solve it , instead of fracturing , everybody needs to galvanise together , make peace and move forward , otherwise the author of the original article in the Chronicle (which started all this) has won by decimating his foe's with his propaganda . Gee's , I am the dummy in this crowd surely some of you guy's have got something positive to add in order to weld everything back together

    Now! we are supposed to be, Grown Adults, can we just BURY this and get on. The Mole will dig it up View attachment 11268 and then we will all,know. Like Larry and Rony, I have too much Time, enjoyment and effort put in to this forum, over the years(not to mention a few pesos) to see it fail.
