“On this night, 19 years ago, 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning tomorrow. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives. None of them saw past 10:00 am Sept 11th, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, hug a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.” Never forget.
Thank you for that well written reminder to us all of the fragility of life and the tragic outcome for so many at 9/11. You are very much a man who cares.
Thank you danbandanna to your moving post. 911 changed our lives forever. I have a few US college-educated friends here who strongly believe the 911 catastrophe was a conspiracy. Personally, for (at least) two reasons I disagree: 1. I don’t want it to be a conspiracy for a thousand reasons (yes, I read and understand all the coincidences); 2. I believe that, if in fact, it was a conspiracy, someone involved would have come forward by now, too many people would have had to be involved.
I would suggest all those who think 911 was a conspiracy should go join the flat earthists and take a walk of the edge.
