What i would like to see here is
    1. A proper licensed driving school to International Standards for new drivers.
    2. A drivers written test that is a bit more complicated than " What sign is shaped like and Octagon"? And please name these various geographical locations in our country..ie Chocolate Hills and Banaue Rice Terraces.
    3. A drivers test including parallel parking, starting /stopping on a hill, making proper left hand and right hand turns. Stopping at "Stop Signs. (if you can find one anymore)
    4. Mandatory vehicle inspections when a vehicle is 5 years old (2 yrs for motorcycles) and yearly after that.

Part 2 and 3 should get 90% of the drivers off the road and part 4 would get 90% of the rolling coffins off the road including motorcycles..

... more complicated, you are serious ? I would say "what is a octagon?" would already get 90% of the road and another 5% would answer: "it's a computershop"

'Right of Way'? Rather than an 8 sided figure, shouldn't it not just be a picture of a local then?!

You will have to excuse PatO, seems he has been in the Philippines a few years already and has forgotten how to spiel coorectly. I'm sure he will correct that right away.

I got a laugh yesterday, we were in Duplamilco buying lumber, and I drew a map for delivery. Part of the map had "bamboo fence" written on it. When the guy got to this he paused, then asked my wife what it said. She told him it said "bamboo fence".

He scribbled out "bamboo fence" and wrote in place of it "finse" so the driver could find our place. Good thing he caught that.
