Having a beer on Saturday night at a hotel in Manila, and got into conversation with an American guy and his Filipina wife. I mentioned what we are arranging for the kids, and he immediately dug out his wallet and handed over 4000 peso. I gave him the DI website details so that he could see the donation acknowledged. So, Kirk Raymonde from Louisiana, you're a top man, and grateful thanks from us for helping to put a smile on a childs face at Christmas.

We're now over the halfway mark, at 16,000 peso, and I'm confident we will hit the target of 30,000 with ease.

The Christmas fund is climbing steadily and has now just gone over the 20,000 peso mark. Grateful thanks to everyone who has chipped in so far. We are now starting to spend what we have and starting to create the gift bags for the children. We will gradually add more items to the bags as more funds, hopefully, come in.

Learning from our effort last year, this is the breakdown we plan for this year :-

Newborn to walking age - 50 bags (these bags contains essential supplies for new mums plus a cuddly toy for baby)
Walking age to 4 years unisex - 40 bags
5 years to 9/10ish boys - 30 bags
5 years to 9/10ish girls - 30 bags

Total 150 gift bags.

We plan to deliver the gifts to the children on 23rd December in the evening, but I will confirm this and the timings later once I have made arrangements with the hospital.
