Many thanks, Dr. Mike. Along with other recent donations, that pushes our running total to 23,000 peso and still climbing. Rechel and Daisy went shopping today and filled 4 very large cardboard boxes with a huge variety of stuff for the kids, and spent roughly 12,000. Thanks to the really great staff at Unitop who counted it all out, boxed it up, carried it all out to a trike for us and generously gave us a 10% discount for the bulk buy. This means that our money will go even further. Wonderful. Roger.
like Kuya Broadside said, the first shopping run is done. here only a few pictures we want to share with our members: Cheers, Rechel.
Thank you Rechel and Daisy for your hard work. I see you had Dirk Diggler with you to do the heavy lifting, good strategy!
I thought it would be a good opportunity to test the surgeons handiwork on the hernia repair. He did a magnificent job. I watched the girls lifting and shifting and I never felt a twinge. :p

I forget to mention the 52 pcs of Stuff toys on the pictures above is from Kuya Broadside, Thank you so much to you Kuya Roger,.. its ok kuya one full Box of those stuff toys are not that heavy for the ladies at Unitop hehehhe.. Unitop Ladies thank you so much for assisting me and helping till I'm done shopping.. Thank you so much too to the Boss of Unitop for giving Us 10 % discount.
More donations have come in, most recently from Gunther, and SteveB & Rowena - thanks to everyone for their generosity. We have as good as hit our target figure, but any further donation means that we can put a bit more into the gift bags. There are a lot of small wards at the hospital and they are quite spread out in two buildings, so we will need some help to distribute the gifts. If you can help us then please let us know. I will provide Santa hats for the guys and Rudolph antlers for the girls !!! As a matter of urgency - our colleague who would have played Santa has had to go to the US urgently at short notice and will not be here to fulfill the task. We therefore urgently need a Santa. I have the complete Santa outfit, tailor made to fit a generously proportioned westerner !! Any volunteers ?? The task will only last for about 1 1/2 hours but it will make a lot of very poor kids smile. Roger
............and for any willing Santa, the beers are on me after the job is done !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
