Yes agreed, but not as much fun, especially when the dog catches up to him.

And cheaper to maintain for at least a week, while he eat's his catch.

Don't you lock your doors and windows when you are out ? Do you have a fence and gate ? Just locking the doos and windows could do wonders. Perhaps we shouldn't have to , but that is the real world in most places. Don't leave an open invitation.

Brilliant idea. I'll keep that in mind! I guess while I'm at it I should take down the big billboard on my roof that states all the items in my apartment, their value and their locations.

I was unable to find any motion sensors anywhere in town. One store said they could order them at 9,000 each, I declined (since quality GE motion sensors only run about 20-40 USD online). I was able to make a make-shift pressure plate alarm outside out of some of those door jam alarms and some plywood. Bought some dead locks and barred up the new bathroom's window. The back door is crap, I wouldn't mind finding a nice solid door to replace it with. Even without the door it will still be much more difficult to get in the place, especially without making a d*mn lot of noise. Best 3,000 pesos I've spent in this country.

Now if I could just have a d*mn smoke with my beer......ugh, bad week.

Handyman had some today; p499.75. I noticed the lens for what appears to be the motion sensor.

Go 8 or so rows in, turn right - go to the very end of the left side shelving.

They were below the wireless doorbell alarms that are hanging at eye level, way down on the bottom shelf. They're the very last item before the shelf ends

Looks like there was a switch for either doorbell or alarm type setting.

Thanks. Good info. I will check it out. My only concern with the motion sensors here (I found some Chinese crap made motion sensors in Matiao but they were only lights and not alarms) is that they are not pet/animal friendly. The better models send out two beams at different angles and both have to be tripped to sound the alarm. It would get rather annoying if every gecko or bird sets off the alarm. Also the better ones you can set the frequency at which the beam is pulsed, to save on battery life. Not nice if you have to change the batteries every month.

Either way I'll buy one and see how it works out. Always worth a try.
