Thanks. Good info. I will check it out. My only concern with the motion sensors here (I found some Chinese crap made motion sensors in Matiao but they were only lights and not alarms) is that they are not pet/animal friendly. The better models send out two beams at different angles and both have to be tripped to sound the alarm. It would get rather annoying if every gecko or bird sets off the alarm. Also the better ones you can set the frequency at which the beam is pulsed, to save on battery life. Not nice if you have to change the batteries every month. Either way I'll buy one and see how it works out. Always worth a try.
It's been my experience that only the "Yale" brand sensors are worthwhile, the other ones are a waste of money.
They were at Handyman in the glass case, the sell out fairly quickly. Might have better luck in Cebu. Just get the simple ones with the 4 number keycode on the front. I've got 2 that I've had for several years, they work flawlessly.
The ones I saw a few days ago were not in a glass case. Just on the bottom shelf under the wireless doorbell systems at eye level
I bought one off the shelf and it worked alright but the siren can't even be heard inside. It appears the situation wasn't just a robbery. I'm hearing that some of that good ol' "filipino pride" got hurt in a courting proposition. Perhaps why nothing of any value was stolen. I've heard many o' snide comments from the guy who wanted to court her as I drove by his local watering hole. And the filipinos wonder why filipinas don't want to date them?
