    I think if these immigration rules get applied in entirety, it could be very disconcerting for current expat residents ,seems to me they can kick you out for spurious reasons , if someone takes a dislike to you ,quick telephone call or visit to immigration and your gone .
    I thought bali was a bit draconian when it comes to foreigners , but comparing rules of deportation , you must be convicted of a fairly serious crime in court, b4 you end up on a plane .
    Also the marriage law here ,states that after 10 years married ,divorce or death of spouse you have a right to stay.
    Philipines dont look so welcoming !

    If you mean white foreigners, well I think that mindset/feeling will diminish over time. Our % of the overall population of visitors is getting smaller all the time. For example, Chinese visitor % is on the rise. So is the number of Russian visitors. I think we've dropped to 3rd or 4th place (behind Koreans?) depending on the internet sources for stats.

    I searched but could find nothing like this as a new requirement or pending bill. I saw that some sort of immigration reform bill was in the works in 2017 addressing trafficking. Not sure but this may be “fake news”. Having said that, I think the item about being disrespectful and rude has already been applied regarding immigration at airports but that applies to immigration officers, should one be so stupid as to lose your cool with them in the Phils or other countries. I see nothing about bonds being implemented like Thailand does or the 60 day exit clearance rather than 6 months. I am SRRV and made the bank deposit but have always thought that for 13a, you could be asked about money in the bank although no 13a person I talked to has been asked that. It is a vague memory and I have no source for that. This “filing” may be something they found on some sort of memorandum? I wish people would actually list the bill or statute law designations when spreading important information like thus; when they fail to list the bill or law numbers, I begin to suspect fake news.
