Sibulan is a second class municipality, as such the minimum wage for domestic helpers is P1500 per month. Better to remain within the law and pay the Philhealth, SS, etc. than to pay them a little more and let them decide (they won't pay it on their own). Under the law you are responsible for their entire Philhealth, Pagibig, and SS payments unless you pay them over P5000 per month. Larry
Yeah that's what I meant that I will pay her SSS and Health and be totally legal but I have leeway since I've been paying her more anyway. Thanks for the reply.
I don't know how much leeway you would have if she decided to go to the government and complain. You'd likely get stuck with backpayments for SSS and philhealth.
I can see this law causing a few redundancy's if implemented .... But people just want the money & are not really interested in SSS, Philhealth etc, if they have to part contribute towards it in general. At least that's what they tell me !....
