I use the Goodyear centre just down from Citihardware, opposite Ceres terminal. Reasonable prices, good tracking & balancing

Well......... I always go to BridgeStone which is a about a klic North of Toyota dealer, main highway. Ask if the tire is from China so you know not to buy that one. Good Peep's and free installation in moments time.

It is correct that an engine operates more efficiently in cooler, denser air. Turbos are designed to force more air into the engine to overcome the loss of performance in hot / high conditions.

    I don't know.
Likely you are correct that the tracking requires to be done on your Car, but another thing that can cause uneven wear on a tyre and especially to the edge? is them being under inflated, over inflation to excess causes them to wear more in the centre, when driving in UK we have many roundabouts this throws the weight of the car on to the edge of the offside front wheel and tears that edge away, so I have always been in the habit of putting a couple of pounds extra air on all my Tyre's, this gives me a few extra miles out of a tyre, decreases the rolling resistance and gives a slight improvement in fuel consumption, I never trust the gauge at a filling station and always have my own one in my car at all times.

You can always trust a Scotsman to give you the best money saving advice, we are all Tight Feckers, when filling the tank with fuel do it on a cool morning never on a hot afternoon as you will get less fuel then also a car runs more efficiently when drawing in cool air this contains more oxygen, our roads in Scotland are always very busy at 3am, we never take our cars out in the midday sun, Only mad Dogs and Englishmen are known to do that.
