My husband and I are staying in Dumaguete for another 4 days and wanted to do an Apo island snorkel and maybe another half day or day tour.

Any recommendations? Also where can I find out what the weather will be like to decide if it's good to go snorkelling?

That's very strange. Since we just came from Siquijor there were boats leaving every day from Coco Grove to their resort on Apo Island. I'm sure people are going snorkelling there.

It's very wild and windy at night I can see. Well what else can we do for a tour outside of Dumaguete?

We've done tours of Bohol and Siquijor, most of it was not very good, just tourist trap stuff. Is there anything nice to see?

    Likes & Dislikes?

 Veronica, as you Don't like the "Tourist Traps" and Snorkeling could be out of the question, maybe it would help if you told us what interests you have, maybe Forest Camp will be appealing to you. Find your way to Photo Board here and you see some Beautiful photographs of this and other places within reach of tourists, Maybe they will make up for prior disappointments you have experienced.

I'm not sure we have the same definition of tourist trap then.

We like seeing places that are worth seeing, ie beautiful or for taking pictures and don't mind paying for it.

But sometimes on these tours they force you to go to a souvenier shop, someone's house/property to see something and you have to pay a fee, take a picture of something like a tree or building and pay a fee or donation, stop by the side of the road to see something and get bombarded with people trying to sell you something or beg from you. You know, things that are not worth seeing on these "day tours"

It seems like most of them are just filled with crappy stops, the driver doesn't say much or talk about anything and just drops you off to take a photo of something not so great and pay a fee and then it's on to the next place.

We like going to places to spend some time and enjoy it and take photos and skip the stuff that is pointless and just a money grab.

I love taking landscape pictures, and seeing the local scenery or experiencing something like hiking, waterfalls, caving etc. You know something memorable other than the car ride.

    Photo Board!

 OH! I know what a Tourist Trap is, I am not a Tourist and am just trying to guide you a little, just navigate your way to the Photo Board here and there you will find what your looking for.
If you are at loose end during to-day, Just look out for my wife and I in the City or Robinson's ( Thats a Shopping mall, Free to enter ) and we will entertain you a while, other than this, Not sure I can be of any further help to you, So have a good day and Hope you find what you are looking for.
