    Greetings from San Francisco!

Yesterday I purchased our return tickets to the P.I. I used a web site called Vayama:smile: to find our tickets. I was really amazed to find such good fares. We are not returning until November but with fuel prices sure to increase I thought it wise to go ahead and purchase out tickets in advance. First we will be in Davao to finish our work then moving on to Dumaguete.

While in Dumaguete last year I found a place that had an olympic pool and adjacent a pool with diving platforms.I love to lap swim and was pretty excited. My wife likes to jog. Next to the pool there was a track and field not yet completed. I was told that they were going to put the rubberized coating on the track.

I was wondering if anyone knew if this project was completed?

Also there was a nice basketball arena nearbye. Does anybody know if they have a mens league?

Does anybody have an opinion and the best dive shop in town?

In closing I noticed a negative remark about the mall being in Dumaguete. Living in Davao has been made a lot eaiser because of our malls. It is a good place to relax and it really helps the locals with jobs. I for one am looking forward to spending a few pesos there! I am just praying that it will come with a Starbucks!

Attached is a picture so you all can see who I am. No comments on how ugly or overweight I am

Pastor Dave, what a good looking family you've got.
I like your attitude about the mall. I certainly agree with you, malls are nice place to relax, while having starbuck coffee and watching people on all walks of life.

As for the track, it's been rubberized, but it's not completed yet. You can open the other site
called Skyscraper, Dumaguete City and Negros Oriental. In that site, you will also see a lot of photos of Dumaguete and the rubberized oval. Have fun!

well each of us have deffirent taste, but I'm a person who like to spend my spare time visiting relatives and friends, going to the beach, walking in the mountains, than spending my time setting in the mall many hours just to look this people how they walk, how they dress up etc...Of course I will go in the mall to buy what I need, but to stay in the mall for relaxation. It's not an ideal place for me to relax.Better to stay at home.

Thanks Swany for the tip. Daff I'm with you about spending hour upon hour at the mall. Maybe you can give some tips on where to hike in the mountains when we arrive. Look forward to meeting both of you.

Daffs, you misunderstood what Swany had said " watching people on all walks of life". It doesn't mean looking or watching people how they walk.. bless.

    Pastor,
If somebody is ugly and overweighted its me... you have no chance to compete with that... hehe.
There is a DGTE runners club, they meet each day at 6 am.There are also plenty of Diveshops around. Most of them have a ok or high standard. If you stay in town, Mikes adventure diveshop is the place to go. He also knows plenty of good mountain tracks... next to the coldest drinks at the boulevard and great Mexican food...

Regards also to your lovely family

    Rhoody
