When I Rome do as the Romans do. America resisted roundabouts for many years. Now you cant drive ten blocks without a roundabout. One statistic, deaths, are much greater in countries with highly developed roadways than here because they are able to drive faster. Accidents here result in less death and injuries because the speeds are less because of goats on the roadway.

Although some less developed countries have higher road fatalities on a population basis, that may in part be accounted for by factors such as poor vehicle condition, poor road condition and hazards (e.g.unlit stockpiles) and lack of safety gear (crash helmets for motorcyclists being a big issue here).

I would be worried about a Filipino driver going to the US and having to drive at high speed and joining very fast flows of traffic.

Maintaining your vehicle and safety equipment and driving at speeds appropriate for road conditions (also not over-driving your headlights) are all part of being a good driver. The third-world is undoubtedly full of dangerous and shitty drivers.

Wikipedia.. haha.. who wrote that.. you.. I don't care what you say if you try to enforce your road rules from the west in traffic of the east you will quickly find yourself the problem.. traffic flow in any country is the key to less accidents.. that is the whole purpose of traffic flow studies.. to make traffic flow because when it starts faltering is when accidents occur..

So you're a bad driver...ok. That has nothing to do with it.

Using “whatabout” arguments when attempting to disagree is an indication that one cannot intellectually make a contribution to the topic at hand. This is Dumaguete, not New York or the Golden Gate Bridge. Whatabout New York? whatabout the golden gate? Whatabout driving conditions here?
