Well, "Samuel," the "great storm of '18" has come and gone as of wed morning, and we got a whopping .8 inches of rain (near the airport), didn't even really wake me up.... .. But i agree with school closings, they could not really predict track or whether it would intensify, and better to be safe than sorry.

Agreed, it made the turn northwest overnight, and track center now is 100 km north of us over cebu, might miss negros altogether, altho we are still well within the possible track "cone".
Still a "depression," don't see a sign that it's strengthening, although it's got a lotta water to cross today.
