Oh! Yes! Widely available but cost was a key factor for us it would have added another 15/18.000 per unit and Maintenance for it was not as available as the Daikin we went for. From Research last Month they are the Favoured Units in the Bigger Cities where Parts and things are about but we in Dumaguete must try and be level Headed about many things. I would not want an untrained man doing things nor wait for some time for an engineer from Cebu. Not too sure if Mitsubishi have a dealer here as such or if Places just buy in and Install not really thinking about After Sales Service, But maybe others have a better story to tell.

LOL My office had some other weird brand of A/C, too. Didn't work for crapola, either.

The Senior O's and VIPs did OK in their quarters. I know because they had to billet me as a temporary "visitor" (Soldier) from higher HQs. Got a unit all to myself on Officer Row. The billeting A/C was really a treat for me to have each time I returned from my "tours" outside the wire. But my office A/C sucked big time.

That is unfortunate Pat, I was pleasantly surprised when our Electric bill arrived this morning, the A/C has been in for 10 days now and the bill was just about 250 peso more than Last Month so at 25 peso per day I think I may have a Smile until next month. Of course it is a new Unit and I would expect it Function well, Lets see what a couple of months does.

So the Plot thickens, We ordered we thought. a 2 hp unit then upped it to 2.5 hp but When the technician came to do the Readings he alerted us to what could be a Problem, Because the Dining Area, Sala and Bed Hall an Kitchen are all open plan a 2 or 2.5 hp Unit will work Overtime to keep all open areas Cool, so he did the measurements again and to ensure the correct balance to keep the Thermostats working properly and not overwork the smaller units that of course will cost more in Running costs and could have Detrimental effects on the Equipment. we went for a 3 hp system. So It is always worth having things done Properly and be guided by those who's job it is.
The Difference Between the 3 Units is about 6.000 peso so I have plumped for this rather than have to install smaller units in other Areas that are just not needed.
