Harold Glover, 68, a retired security officer from Georgia, was presented to Vice Governor Agnes Magpale, GMA Cebu's Vic Serna reported Thursday. Glover had been staying in the Philippines for 10 years and is living with a Filipina, but had been under surveillance since December 2014 over allegations that he sexually abused minors. The Provincial Women's Commission under Magpale received the information about Glover last May 16. At 7 p.m. Wednesday, Bogo police served a search warrant on Glover's house - and caught him with four minors aged 15 and 16. I just wish they would also look to their own as once again it is a foreigner yet we all know it is happening daily in Filipino homes all over the islands. More cannon fodder for guys like luis sinco to call foreigners perverts. An incident like this does in fact cast a dark shadow over foreigners in the P.I. Taken singularly, you can say the perv was a one off, but when the collective numbers add up, as they have been recently, we all look bad.
I also agree, for the expats here that are with someone or others that are dating legal aged women this does give us all a black eye; perception is what it is. A 68 year old man that wants 15-16 old girls is a twisted person and he should spend the rest of his life in prison. I'm curious what his partner played in this but do find it interesting that the article said the girls were "forced" as they were getting paid for their service. Going only off the article, it seems this was an ongoing thing. Very unfortunate, but as Jack said this exploitation is not limited to just foreigners. Shawn
