I have combined these topics again. Please stop creating new threads for every update. Post updates to this thread so that we don't have multiple threads on the same topic, creating confusion and forcing members to jump between threads to try to find all the relevant information.

I have made it a sticky thread so it always remains at the top of this sub-forum. Should be very easy to find to post updates.

Conversational----it is the Bisaya used in the city----the ones used by up there in the mountains will sound funny here---lol----depending on the age of the kids---if they can read, they may join this group----if not, then they need private tutoring

Since we are getting started on June 4 at 10:45 am to 12:00 at Cafe Sofia, Tip Top Hotel across Don Bosco School, it is best to know how obligations can be done:

Option A: Down payment (at least 1k, the balance to be settled within the month)

    Option B: pay in full

    Option C: weekly (540/week)

Whichever option is suitable for you, go for it.

Receipts will be issued guys. Thank you.

BTW, one big consideration of the venue is its accessibility and safety. Several years back I made one poor decision of renting a space that was located on the 2nd floor of building somewhere near the boulevard. A couple of members had some leg problems and had to go through the hassle of climbing up the stairs. This is not going to happen now. The space must be on the ground floor, no climbing, no hassles.

Yes, I was a teacher for many years and still am on a freelance basis. And yes, I had taught Bisayan to foreigners years and years ago----that was a group composed of 10 eager-to-learn foreigners who did not want to feel like a plant whenever relatives of their wives or girlfriends come around. I teach English so I do my best to incorporate some grammatical explanations to some lessons although not all Bisayan expressions have grammatical logic. And yes, it would be nice to also earn some extra money from this effort.

Oh really? I lost track then---I will have to actually write down all the names so I don't miss out anyone.

Good question. It depends on how many we are. I could use my small place if the number is small but if there are around 5 people I need to get a more comfortable and convenient place. I am open to suggestions though.

Combined all of the related threads into one and relocated to the appropriate sub-forum. Please post information and updates on the class to this thread/topic. It makes it easier for people to follow along on the purpose and status of the class. Thanks.

We can do that but if you do a per session attendance, the fee will be a bit higher, just a bit.

This is just a friendly reminder to those who will be participating in the Learn Bisaya class which will take off this coming Saturday, June 8 at 10:45 a.m., Tip Top Hotel, near Robinsons, fronting Don Bosco School. If the parking spaces in front of the hotel are
occupied, the hotel has a huge parking area next to it. Feel free to use it.
