    I had a similar thing happen to me in the US. Almost killed me. Changed my life forever.... No cctv footage or any witness to the crime. I was beat with a Mag light. No one called the police, no one took me to the hospital. The so called friends I was with loaded me in the back of a truck and dropped me off at another friends house. I didn't wake up until the next morning. Then realizing I needed to get to a hospital fast. My lip was split from top to bottom front teeth on the roof of my mouth..... Large blood clot on the way to my brain....... Wow all over some unknown girl. It was the second fight I got into that night at the same bar. I hurt the first guy pretty bad. The second one didn't fight me he was running away.... the last thing I remember is perusing him. And then waking up the next day calling my sister to come take me to the hospital.
    But I learned a big lesson. It doesn't matter how bad #@% you are or strong you are, a equalizer will spank you like a little girl. I have not been in one fight since then...... I used to have a few fights a month before that. So don't think its just a Philippine thing to gang up on someone. It would happen in any country where people are intimidated and then the "MOB RULE" sets in.

    Live leak doesn't embed on the forum properly for some reason. I've removed the auto embed feature for the website. If people want to try to post the link again they can . I've seen the video and I have the CCTV footage of what happened inside the bar for about an hour prior to where the the Live Leak video starts. I will release that once the family has left the Philippines and the investigation is complete (If the PNP needs that portion of the video I'm more than happy to give them a copy of the raw-unedited footage). The death cannot be justified in any way but there is a lesson to be taken away from this: being drunk and confrontational/aggressive to locals can end in disaster. I really hope that those involved in the fight are brought in front of a judge and are held accountable for their actions.

    Congratulation PNP!

    After the case conference by CIDG, NBI and PNP, all suspects were already identified by the police. The CCTV footage will speak for itself. Some witnesses came up for more information. rounding ups is due soonest. One witness/suspect was invited but refused to give statement (no lawyer around) to the PNP Dumaguete and the media. No photos of suspect will be released as per request until cases will be filed

    Don't know. Point? How would me posting the video make a conviction any more or less likely? I've already verified with the PNP that they have the exact same footage that I have. I'm also positive that Phil's friends and family have seen this thread and know that I have the video as well. If they or their lawyers would like the video they have my number. I'll gladly hand it over. (I have actually not posted it out of respect/by request for/by one of Phil's close friends who is working closely with the case. I feel I've already spoken too much on the subject and if I posted the video I had might as well just go up and kick him straight in the balls.)

    It seems you have a problem with me. Other than me not showing you the video is there a reason for that? Do you feel that I am somehow responsible for what happened or I'm playing a hand in covering something up?

    Either way, I can assure you that this combative/aggressive/confrontational (and threatening in the PMs) attitude is getting you no closer to seeing that video.

    Why would I lie about it? I certainly don't benefit from Zanzibar staying open (see Revive thread) and I don't benefit in any way from the people who attacked him staying out of prison.

    It will be posted when the PNP wants it released (or if they try to bury the case). They are actively pursuing the case at the moment and lawyers are starting their investigations. This case nowhere near being swept under the rug at the moment. I want justice for Phil just as much as anyone else but making the video public on YouTube does nothing but feed people's morbid curiosity.

    Granted, I am not there yet but think I have read enough to start understanding the Philippine way. That being said I make the following comment:

    Obviously there is a difference between OFFICIALLY being closed for permit violations and ACTUALLY being closed for business. LOL :banghead:

    Note: I am not the person who uploaded this video to live leak. It had to have came from the PNP, friend/family of Mr. Prins or someone with access to Zanzibar's DVR. (If I uploaded the video I would have posted the cameras on the inside of the bar as well.)

    Thanks Wrye83......sad to say, but Mr. Prins were "begging" for it.....it seems that Alcohol was his biggest Enemy on that Night....
    don't get me wrong, he didn't deserve it....but he lost his control over himself coz of excessive Alcohol intake....
    very very tragic that it turns out deadly....
