For sure -- we will be doing that regularly with his new laptop (and with my desktop).

We both use Dropbox with our online clients, and it is indeed a GREAT "backup," as well.

Any suggestions for a reasonably priced laptop in town? We will check all the stores, of course, but if anyone has an "inside scoop," that would be fantastic help!

    Thanks, everyone --

From my experience avoid non branded laptops of brands you don't really know. Yes they are a bit more expensive running 27k+ vs 20k but to many of the ones from non major branded manufacturers die way to fast and start really slowing down while the shop says its something with your software and not shoddy hardware that is overheating.

Lastly get a laptop cooler from day 1. Costs under 1k peso's and extends the life here in the Philippines a fair bit.
