Azoa almost cost me my life, and the damage from his advice I'll likely live with for the balance of my life. The only thing he got right was I should go back to the U.S. for treatment. But he did not prepare me for 37 plus hours of travel, plus about 10 days before I could leave. By the time I got to the U.S. hospital they said just another 3-5 hours more and the y would have just toe tagged me to the morgue. All that idiot so called doctor had to do was put a leg catheter on me. I had 6 things wrong with me instead of one thing by the time I got to the U.S. hospital anyone of which could have killed me. I have been in and out of VA hospitals and clinics for over a year now with no end in sight. Stay away from that clown Azoa.

Woah! Thats bad. Best of luck mate. From my experience in the Philippines the experience and skills of Philippine Doctors is very varied. There are some very good ones but the bad ones should not exist in my view.

I have been using the other one at Silliman, Dr. Baviera, for about 3 years. Satisfied. Don’t know if he works out of Ace too. His assistant gets in around 9, his clinic starts at 9:30, if he is not in surgery. Good to have a PSA Blood Test prior to seeing him. He may recommend an ultrasound.

Having had a recent bladder infection, (one of many over the last few years) I was prescribed Trimethoprim, I became so ill that after three days I stopped taking them and researched the side effects others had exprienced, to my horror I soon discovered that the tablets were not for me.
While I understand that all medication comes with warnings about about side effect of using them, if we didnt trust our own personal Doctors we really wouldn't take any of them!
No Doctor is an expert in every field of medicine, why would you consult a Heart Specialist if you had a Kidney problem.
We put our trust and our lives in the hands of Doctors, thank God we have them to turn to,but even Doctors make mistakes.
Having had many forms of antibiotics over the years......my opinion is think twice before taking Trimethoprim!

in the belief that birds of a feather flock together, ask for a doc to doc referral from another physican you trust. even if you have to pay six bucks for an office call to have access to the doc you know. get more than one referral if you can, and consider if the recommeded doc is a member of the same group as the referring physician. they will tend to refer within their group if they can. that is not necessarily bad but it is a bias to consider.
