    You could also open a US and Philippine PayPal account and transfer money that way. (Link us bank to US PayPal and Philippine bank to Philippine PayPal.)

    Not sure what the fees are but I'm pretty sure it is cheap.

    I have my monthly U.S. Social Security sent to the BDO bank at Robinson's mall branch here. No problem but one issue is that, given it is a foreign bank, the SSA requires the local account to be a secure direct deposit dollar account meaning no ATM or checking and my wife cannot access that account. So monthly I transfer the funds to a regular dollar or peso account there.
