lol I was in a very strange command environment. Our squad/section had officers as well. An O-6 (Colonel) was in charge of the section, we had x1 O-5, x3 O-3s and x2 O-2s.....but the CO in charge of the Company was an O-3.....and in charge of III Corps was a 3 star General (Raymond Odierno). They all had better crap to do than deal with a bunch of junior enlisted......and there was absolutely no point for there to be as many junior enlisted in the unit as there was. The fact that I still have no idea what the mission of my squad/section actually was while in the US say my presence there was completely pointless. I just took out the trash and vacuumed the floor.....even though that was contracted out to civilians.
