Also what is interesting is that it is estimated that at least 75% of the rest of the Western World agree with what Obama is trying to do with the Gun laws in the USA.

And fortunately 100% of the "Western World" don't get to vote in the U.S. The U.S. is not Europe, and it did not become great by following the crowd lined up for socialism.

Well, based on the current fiasco in the US, it is a real tragedy that the rest of the world does not get a vote...........

And when you say the US is "Great " it just sounds like the typical Yank ego and arrogance getting out of control.........

Oh yes it sure is Great, here is a small list from a large list of "Greatness"

A Great debt to the Chinese to, the Trillions ...........................lol.................

A Great idea not to have a National Health programme for the citizens

A Great idea to cause the Financial fiasco that spread throughout the world several years ago

A Great number of Banks and Financial institutions that had to be bailed out of trouble by the tax payers.

A Great need to be the only Country that had to go to War with the British to escape from British rule, where other smarter Countries did it without violence.

A Great need to test new weapons by invading Iraq, giving the excuse there was WMD there, and clearly, they knew there was not.

    Shall I go on ?

Nah, you know the rest I am sure.

    Peace...................guys.................lol...................

All of us, even you Yanks, should realise and admit our own Countries short comings, rather than put head in sand like an Ostrich.........

Head in the sand? How so? You've watched the debating, so you have said. How is that putting ones head in the sand??

There is no perfect place to live on this planet, but some are better than others. While the U.S. does have it's shortcomings, just like any other place, it also has provided some great things. If one likes to dwell on negative things, like some here, the list is long, but the list of positive things is also very long. For one you wouldn't be posting without internet or a personal computer. Hmm... these originally came from where? Ever use a telephone? A CD? VCR? and the list goes on and on. Freedom is a wellspring that helps inventors what they do best.

Hmmm...the U.S. was ranked #3 in the world as far as patent applications go in 2004 (this was the latest statistic I could find) which somehow managed to rank above #6 New Zealand with only about half as many. How many different types of sheep sheers can one patent anyways?

As far as Weapons of Mass Destruction go, the U.N. and MANY other countries supported the whole fiasco. Even New Zealand sent troops there, believe it or not. (Does New Zealand even have troops?) And by the way, the U.S. is the only country that rebuilds a country after having gone to war with it. Japan, Germany, Iraq, were all rebuilt after wars with U.S. funds. No one wants war, and it is not an excuse to "test" anything. Where do you get this crap?

"Smarter countries" opposed British rule without violence? No, lesser countries. Maybe they weren't worth the effort of GB to fight for? The British are the ones that refused to give up the colonies without a fight, so we gave it to them. Ask and ye shall receive? Also these lesser countries came along later than the U.S. for the most part. Great Britain had learned it's lesson by then with the help of America. Maybe not so if America hadn't fought and won.

As far as the whole banking fiasco thing also....this was caused by greed and poor over sight of the U.S. It is amazing how this same greed was caught by other countries wanting to "invest". Give me a break.

There sure are a lot of America haters in this world? Jealousy? Envy?

ha ha ha ha ha, knowdafish, you would have to be kidding, no one hates America at all apart from certain Islamic stirrers and they are the minority, I think that you and some other Yanks have an incredible inferiority complex, for some reason, that just may be fear.............?............that you try and make up for with your false bravado................ lol...............and, also lack of a sense of humour................ lol...........just cannot laugh at or with yourselves, it seems with some of you............... lol ...................

In fact, judging by the debated that are occurring in the US right now, it seems that half the Nation is in fear of the other half and do not trust each other at all, so are out buying more guns to protect themselves from each other................ lol...........

And yes, Britain, and Australia particularly were totally conned by that war monger Bush, and were foolish enough to believe him, thus joined in on the Iraq thing, it just goes to show that some Yanks are very good salesmen................... lol:cool:

NZ does not need an army, we do not p*ss folks off like some other Countries I could name................. lol:cool:
