My wife said the chizmiz is we'll get Sinovac, I hope not. I agree with you on the logistics - especially with brownouts, you'll have to have backup generators. I have a friend in CA who got the first shot of Moderna and had mild reactions, which left. They kept him for 15 minutes to see if anaphylaxis (sp?) occurred. We just have no idea what's going to be offered here, but, nothing we can do. I'm not to thrilled with the idea of getting one set of poorly effective shots, then later more effective shots. But I think we have months to figure it out. I think we can grab all the nursing students here - is it that hard to give a shot?
Shoot. That reminds me not to just click links I see everywhere regarding issues I care about. Are links like this often posted here? And how do I distinguish those kind of links from others. Thanks
I remember two nurses coming into my wife's room at a certain hospital to check her weight and height - they had no way of measuring height (I loaned them my tape measure). No problem as two more appeared 20 minutes later to do the same thing - they had no way of measuring weight or height! I think those measurements had not changed much in 20 minutes. So this is how it could go: 1. Have the vaccine vials but, oops, no syringes. The patient provides the syringe (could be true). 2. 20 minutes after the injection, another vaccinator wants to do it again.
