Valencia SPICE Restaurant

How come a simple recommendation can be twisted round to ownership....too many persons on this site with F-all to do but criticise etc.

 

Husband and wife (or BF / GF), forgot names already... "He" is, i believe, Aussie. She is Filipina and the Chef, did some school, at DACA and in Thailand. Nice place, on our list of places to-go...

 

I had the vindaloo the other night it's good I will definitely go back. For me the only thing I didn't like was no AC but they have plenty of ventilation.

 

I have only been in Spice 2 times but satisfied both times with the food and service. In another tried the food is on the cons list of living in the Philippines, I agree 100%. Here Spice is on top of my list, have I been in Thailand, which I am not, it would just be ordinary.

 

I cannot see anything negative within ""He" most certainly does not own it. Only "she" can legally do so. I was also under the impression that "she" was the real talent behind the place."

To me it appears purely informative.

 

That's why there is a big steel gate with a lock at the entrance. Do burglars think the owner is there 24/7?

 

I think everyone on this forum is quite aware of how ownership/control work. "He" doesn't "own" NASPRI, either, but "he" manages the place while "she," the owner cooks for Tejero. Life seems complicated here, but it seems to work out most of the time.

 

Dined at Spice for lunch. Had tuna and mushroom pasta. It was very good. And they actually had Coke Light for sale....a double bonus! Service was prompt and the place is really nice. I wish they had air conditioning, but you can't have everything. If Oxmox really closed, Valencia is down to zero air conditioned resataurants.
