    Hello All;

    I have made several trips to the Philippines to recon possible areas to settle in when i make mt final move at the end of the year[hopefully].

    This coming Sept. I plan on a visit to Dumaguete. I was wondering if there is a hang out bar or restaurant where I might meet up with expats and get some first hand info on the town and ares.
    Thanks
    Ed from AZ

    The rizal boulevard is a good place to hang-out during the night. There are many bars and restaurants that offers you a variety of food and drinks. HTH

    Expat hangout places...well, there's a lot!

    I don't think you will have a problem finding them...the first and most obvious are along Rizal Blvd.... Coco Amigos, Waterfront Cafe, Why Not, Honeycomb, Annabelle Jean's. The slightly harder to find ones will be the ones off the boulevard like Coyotes and Edelweiss, also many of the resorts are expat-owned and have their own expat constituency (like Private Garden especially on Saturday night). Easiest way to find these places is to make a friend of the boulevard and ask if they will show you.

    That's a great way to ruin your initial Dumaguete experience. Joke also... maybe. :p
