Hi Shawn, from what I remember he said about half an inch or so, if you can buy it in bulk then that should be cheaper, the more the better I guess, when you work out what the pesticide man costs every 6 months ( mine was p6k) which did not work, I would apply lime down beside the hollow blocks on the outside of the building also to prevent side entry as they will climb inside of the hollow blocks cracks etc.. I would say the lime burns the crap out of the termites with little or no harm to the environment,
