I got a Kymco Super 8, 64k ... seemed like the best compromise between city/short trip riding as well as at least seemed a little bigger than the other brand scooters. Took it on a 100km ride yesterday and it wasn't too bad.
50cc, 125cc, or 150 cc? Here is a 125; KYMCO Super 8 | Motorcycles for sale Quezon City | AyosDito.ph Larry
Larry it's a 125 which is all that's available in the Super 8 model around here at least as far as I know. A 150 would have been great though. I rented an XRM and didn't really care for it, and a Honda Beat. I thought the Beat was pretty cool around town but not so cool outside of town. For me the CVT is definitely the way to go for town riding. robert I liked the Agility but for any road trips it looked a little too "agile" for me lol
X231, I do consider the Agility 125 to be minimal lacking frills but still good value. Only 12 inch wheels but they have large tires on them. Kymco sells much fancier Agilitys in countries like Spain up to 163cc that they call a 200 for advertising. Glad you found something that suits your purpose.
robert actually it was the 12" wheels that turned me off to the Agility. They had a 200 (163) here too, Like I think was the model. It looked retro and was about 33% more money. Still a good value by US standards but I'm not big on the retro look and figured the Super 8 was a good fit for me. OTD for less than $1500 still blows me away. Heck, I paid $4K for my grandaughter's 250 quad in 2007 lol
Believe me, I'm with you on the bigger wheels. That sounds like an excellent deal on the Super 8. They are about $2,700 at the shop near me if you bargain them down. If you really wanted you could have someone order you a block/bore /cylinder for it, re-jet the carb and have done with it for improved zip, the carbs frequently are jetted a little lean from the factory for emissions and for fuel economy ratings.
