Hi all,
I have just signed up to this forum. I at present live in Dipolog City but have recently purchased a building block outside Valencia, along the road to the Japanese war memorial.
I am looking for an honest builder/architect to draw up my plans to my rough floor plan/do soil test/apply for building permits etc.
I hope to supervise building myself, along with an able local foreman of course.
I have some savvy in this field as I have built a number of houses in this country to date, building one at present here in Dipolog. - I have been involved in Dipolog for the last 25 years, living there the last 3 years.

As I am new to the Dumaguete scene any help regards honest builders/architects would be greatly appreciated, also best suppliers of building materials etc, also any tips on finding a good reliable building foreman, In fact any tips relating to what I am planing to do.
I visited Dumaguete at Christmas for the first time and decided it to be probably the best place in the Philippines to live for an expat. Research tells me I'm not the first to come to this conclusion. I have worked in this country twice over the last 28 years and visited many places and nothing seems to come near Dumaguete in filling the needs of a Caucasian Expat .

Welcome warrego, Your intro tells a story I think, If you trawl a little over the last 2 months or so of posts, you will find no end of members here that have Built or just Finished building homes. Much Information to be had, I have a contact but maybe our members can help you first, as they are the ones to say who is good and who is not so good. End Result at a good cost is paramount, only those with an experience of this I feel can judge. Welcome to DI, hope all goes well and achieve your aim, as a lot of us have done. You don't say where you originate from.
