My back is killing me again..Time to go back to a waterbed mattress.. Looking for a queen, mattress only ( I have a super single but too small for me and company)...Miguel
A few years ago there was a waterbed company in Rivergate mall in Cebu, not sure if it's still there, but if you like I can find out, but it will take me about a week. I don't think there is one here in Dumaguete. Ron
Have you checked the beds at Umatiao....Perdices street..... They represent Mandaue Foam in Cebu. They make very good mattreses in foam or coils and both in combination. Not to long ago we purchased a king size bed and finally after all this years I sleep well and wake up rested with no back pain. The also have what they called chiropratic beds of high quality and with a nice soft top....... check it out...you may find what you are looking for. Not always a waterbed is the solution...I had one in California some years ago....and I woke up seasick most mornings.....maybe it was the ladies fault...LOL. The matress I purchased was a firm but not hard. Combination of foam and 600 springs. Great bed. 16.000 pesos, 7 year warranty. We now sleep like a King and a Queen....actually I stay in bed longer now because bed is very comfortable. Good Luck with what you find.....
h2o bed Thanks MMM...I have tried all the good expensive mattersses here, including the "wonder" foam ,that I have now. I started sleeping on a waterbed over 40 years ago.( think that I had one of the first in Canada)..I am very, very "at home" on one.. Maybe because I have spent my life under,on and beside the ocean...Miguel
I have back problems also and like the idea of a waterbed. They are also cooler to sleep on, aren't they ? Robert
With the correct filling a waterbed is perfect for your back. If the amount of water is not adjusted to you it is literally a pain in the back and you won't enjoy it at all/ A whole bed usually comes with a heating system, single mattresses not. (not sure if heater needed here in the PI, but great for a cold, turn it up to 30+ Celsius and sweat all out in one night). @Mike: I saw a waterbed exhibition in Ayala in Cebu last month, so I assume that you get it there. Maybe BikerDave or Shadow can give you more detailed info, just shoot them a PM cheers Rhoody
Rob K,much cooler...heat is one of the reasons that I do not like the very expensive "magic/memory" foam i have. Roody,no need heater but I put a 25 watt light bulb under the frame to keep moisture out and gamay heat in the cooler months here..In Germany and Canada a heater is a must !! Water temperature will level out at the same temperature as the surrounding air. I guess you dont remember the name of company in Cebu ?? danke..Miguel
Mike, the Dane was my company in Cebu ... hehe from the others I just have the cell .... haha joke aside, I really passed it in a few second, one of that typical "Mall-Atrium-Promo-Thingies" about beds. Without your post here I would have forgotten it . sorry that I can't help you further
