MANILA - The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Thursday said it has prepared for a brewing storm that may enter the country this weekend.

The NDRRMC, in a statement, said its operations center will remain under red alert for the approaching low pressure area.

"As early as now, the DILG has alerted the LGUs concerned to take the necessary preparations especially in the recently affected communities by TS Urduja and TY Vinta," the statement read.

"The public is advised not to discount weather advisories and warnings especially if there is a call for pre-emptive and force evacuation."

Relief and search, rescue, and retrieval operations continue for typhoon-stricken communities, it added.

The NDRRMC said the LPA is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, according to PAGASA.

Mate it was 1, 2, 3 naknak was under the covers beside her Mama and they were both cowering! lol It must have rained very well in the mountains from the sound of the water rushing down the creek compared to the rain we received.

The one thing that amazes me, I grew up on the Sunshine Coast back in QLD (Australia) and I am use to wild storms, Cyclones, bad Storm Cells that bring Tornado like winds etc, but what amazes me about the Weather here in the Philippines is the THUNDER! It is HEAVY! It RESONATES through the ground! It seems to roll on forever, you hear it again, then again, then again and on and on...

In Australia it is BANG! BOOM! That's it... It doesn't shake you fillings by getting up close and personal like here.

Last year I was standing in my doorway, BIL standing in Papa's doorway which is next to ours, next minute KABOOM! FLASH! And then there was horizontal lightning dancing up and down the walkway outside our doors. BIL looked at me, I at at him, I asked him; "Did you see that?" And he just nodded his head in disbelief at what we both just witnessed. :jawdrop: Lightning hit the Bamboo grove around 20 meters from us exploding one of the pieces of Bamboo, and it dispersed with horizontal lightning bolts dancing all around us. We both quietly retreated back inside... hehe
