It was not even a typhoon, "just" a tropical storm. I believe that this is one of the reasons why many people did not take it serious enough, as storms are not that special. However, things like that happen. many say that was the worst since "I-don't-know-when". Speaking of myself, in Feb 2009 my house was knee-deep under water, this time not, so for me personally 2 years ago was worse and I live in Batinguel an area with many homeless families now.
Thanks for the honest answer Rhoody..... I dont think it will put us of relocation there but it has given some extra thoughts for sure
Asawa ko just got the sad news that she has lost an uncle and who used to have a home in upper Valencia to this storm. At least life goes on for the rest.
When the highway between Dumaguete and Bacong washed away a few years ago, it was raining for 3 days and 3 nights. Much worse than now. Also hypermart was under water.
We drove that road (from Siaton to Lake Balanan) on Feb 10th 2012, and it was same as before, fine, undamaged.
Scared the s--- out of me when I saw this thread, I thought it was a new weather warning from Barcada. Yea, when Barcada gives a weather warning, I listen now. Sendong was a SOB!
