    Good desision taken though!
Photoshop itself is not a problem, but practice during events is. So thanks, keep in touch then!

G'Day mate, does your Wife use a Tripod or a stick to balance her Camera on? A lot of the time photos are ruined by the most simple of things, like you are nervous or it is just one of those days where holding the Camera steady is nigh on impossible meaning the slightest shake can cause like a double vision type blur to the image, or poor lighting.

We plan on holding the Ceremony on the 31st of December if possible at Midday. This will give us good overhead light (not counting a Monsoon downpour in which case we will be doing this as the Ducks do :D hehe) with minimal shadows.

    This may help your Wife mate;
Wedding Photography - 21 Tips for Amateur Wedding Photographers

    https://improvephotography.com/3236/wedding-photography-tips/

A lot comes down to following a 'Plan'. I often edit Photos for friends, removing people or sometimes adding a person which is harder than removing someone who Photo-Bombed the moment in time you would have rathered them laid up on the CR with a dose of the squirts!

I will burn off what I have in Templates and Brushes for Adobe Photoshop including Coral Draw and Ulead Photo Impact to share with your Wife as I am sure it will help her a long way towards promoting her services with the locals as many, especially the children's Templates which I Have many 'cute' ones and also the Wedding Templates.

I look forwards to meeting you both if you wish to come along and provide moral support for your Wife :D

    Cheers, Brian.

Mate, its a wedding. don't be greedy, get a PRO who knows whet he does.

Somebody with a brandnew DSLR who has no experience with, takes 100% worse pictures than a 9 year old with a decent snapshot. There is just too much to take care of.

This is not ment to insult the one guys wife who offers her service (now that sounds bad, also not ment like that), it is a simple fact.

Again get a Pro. Check Chadda, Denis Futulan (spelling) or Clee Andro (spelling) all great photographers and photo-artists.

It is the only wedding you 2 will have together, most likely at least. don't be too greedy to spent 300 dollar for a once in a lifetime event.

Hey guys, feels like there is a misunderstanding here.
Was NOT promoting anything at all as my wife doesn't provide ANY kind of services, like I said- not a pro, just an amateur lookin for some practice with a semi-pro cam. Just a beginner, just looking for TFP - Time For Prints experience. But yes, Brian, she is using a tripod.
More than that, wasn't going to get paid as there is likely nothing to pay for-probably won't get any good pics or who knows-probably we'll see a couple of masterpieces=)

Brian, sorry if i failed to explain what exactly she is looking for-my English is too poor. Thought you were going to hire a profi ANYWAY and my wife could just do some EXTRA pics. I agree that as this event can never be repeated it's better to use a profi photographer's service for sure.
So it's gonna be December, 31...man...but what about New Year's Eve celebrating?)))

Black Abbot thank you for your concern, we are employing a Professional but thankyou for the additional names as my asawa to be approached a local Company that has no pictures showing their work so I am dubious as to their capabilities, as their Facebook Photo skills taking pictures of Family members I felt left a LOT to be desired...

I will try to find these other guys, are they members here on the Forum or do I search Google/Facebook for their names?

    Thank you, Brian.

Niskivich; We are employing someone else to take Pictures, I was hoping to help your wife also by allowing her to take Pictures, and share with her what I have here to maybe help her to further her Hobby in Photography.

There has been no misunderstanding, sorry I failed to also mention that we were employing the Services of someone else instead of making it appear we were putting the entire show on her shoulders...

December 31st; Marriage, Celebrations, then wake up to a New Year, a New Day, a New start in life with New beginnings and possibilities where we can put the frustration of past years behind us and begin a New... :D

I still look forward to seeing what your Wife can do, often it is the passion of the Hobby that reveals a more intimate side to one's chosen art

    Cheers, Brian

    Wedding Caterer/ Lechon/ Tables Chairs/ Marquee Tent.

Also today my asawa to be will be going to; Gerry's Lechon and Livestock Supply (Looks to be Professional)
I was also looking at; Lechon Dumaguete (Does not look as Professional)
Both are on Facebook... She will try and gain a Price for catering foods for our Wedding after my Message on his Wall, my Private Message and my Email to him has gone unanswered, not looking hopeful for a Business who ignores (or are too busy?) to reply to a potential Customer... :(

I am looking for someone who can hopefully Supply the Foods, Cater, supply Tables and Chairs and also Marquees (Tents) to accommodate around 50 people (to 100 if the locals catch on :D lol)

I would love to find someone who can do it all, if not what are you suggestions?

It is to be held outside, behind her parents small Nipa House so no room inside if it does rain, it will hopefully be held midday so if it is sunny then it will be HOT and the cover will be appreciated by all I assume.

If we cannot gain the Mayor/Judge or whoever to officiate our Wedding then it maybe held in a Church instead of her Parents backyard.

    Brian,

a Pro who is in good business would never post his real pictures on Facebook. Or he/she is a damned stupid pro,

With using the FB server, one basically give FB the right to use ones pictures for the time they are stored there. (in a nutshell). I know there are still enough people out there who think FB is free...

The 3 I mentioned are extremely well known in Dumaguete. Shouldn't be hard to find them. Or you try to get in touch with that Rhoody (guy or girl ?). I looked through the photo-board, and he/she seems to have a good touch for the camera. Of course I don't know if he/she is still around.

    Brian,
I can strongly recommend you "Celyn Catering Services" located in Bong-Ao, Valencia. Never used their service myself but twice been invited to a party where there was food and drinks provided by them, both times very delicious food and good level of service, waiters and all the stuff, nice decoration and as I know they also have Sound System for rent. Chicken wing in breading with sweet and sour sause were especially good, the same I can say about Cordon Blue and Pork with paprika. Also they have sushi.
The girl said that they have pics of their dishes and all the stuff on their FB page which is sounds like "Brian Delatre" or smg like that, not sure about the spelling, sorry.
Anyway if your fiance is a Philippina much better she contact Celyn, he owner.
Not sure if i can post a phone number here, ah?

Hi Niskivich, yes she is Filipina and I am sure there is nothing wrong if you private message any relevant information to me, I was going to post the FB links to the two I found but remembered that there is a Rule about advertising or posting links so lost those to err on the safe side

She is in Dumaguete today to ask around and try and gain some rough quotes to cater for us. We both are poor and simple so it won't be anything over the top fancy wise, if she had her way it would be a simple Civil Wedding, no Gown, no Rings, just a ceremony so that I can save spending money as she knows I am flying by the seat of my pants to do this as it is...

Thank you Larry I will shoot a PM to Rhoody and ask his advice

I will pass the names onto Melinda so she can further investigate while she is in Dumaguete. The Photographer's my kids used, used watermarks on their Pictures they displayed online showing their talents, including my kids photos which we viewed so that no one could save them to their hard drives. PITA to removed watermarks which I have successfully done in the past, but depends how bad the watermark is...

I view FB like the price of Oil, once enough are using then they will pull rug out from under users like every other media site has done in the past including Web Providers who offer large amounts of data then once everyone is aboard start trimming then charging. One We Site I used dropped from 100MB to 75MB to 50MB to 25MB and each time they tried charging me I deleted more Data to bring it in under the Free amount on offer. I have been around long enough to learn and be wary of "Free Gifts". Nothing is Free in this World today!

    Thank you, Brian.
