    If there are any left after the Dogs removing the lower fruit and neighbours Scrumping ( Stealing) the rest as does happen on trees near the walls and fences.

    The southern half of Australia had 4 seasons summer, autumn, winter and spring. The northern half has 2 seasons wet is from november to april and the dry season. We dont say the fall.

    Aye I think a lot of the world does, In Scandinavia they call it Soda Vand, Spain it is limonada or cola or a fruit drink Con (With) Gas.
    but I call my beer pop too, " just going for a Pop honey." [​IMG] :thumbsup:
    I wonder if we will uncover the root of the name though?

    Anyone out there. Why do we call Soft Drinks POP?

    It's just coke in Texas....or soda....but NEVER soda-pop (I heard that a lot in Indiana). It appears there is an entire website dedicated to this debate.

    Go figure.

    My guess would be because of the "pop" sound when you open it?

    I grew up in Alaska Florida and Kentucky. Never called it soda.
