LOL, i read that entire post (most i skim through) - all i can say for now. Let me digest it and reply with a decent response.
When I was much (MUCH) younger, I NEVER brushed my teeth being a backward Country Boy an all, then we moved to the City and the school dental program pushed brushing, and my younger sister being the pain in the @ss she is booked us all in for a Dentists appointment when SHE had a cavity! Anyways, the most VILE EVIL (she was a woman BTW) Dentist I have ever had the misfortune of happening upon found no less then TWELVE Cavities! I called BULL on it but dear ol' Mum sent me packing back each Saturday to have another Filling done, to say this woman was a BUTCHER would be a compliment! Long story short; I went to six and skipped the other six fillings by playing down the creek instead of attending what equated to torture sessions akin to Iraqi Police interrogation! :( Skip forwards eleven years and I had a cavity that caned like hell so off to the Hospital Dentist, I was packing it big time knowing I had skipped the other six fillings, when he was done with the filling he told me "Your teeth are fine, keep looking after them as you are now and you will die with a full set of teeth in you head"... I was; "WHOA! What the???" I told him I hadn't brushed my teeth in 21 years, EVER! (Alright guys enough of the EWW stuff okay! I can hear you all here in Oz!) He was as shocked as I was, but apparently gnawing at bones chewing them bare like the Family Fido has it benefits as well as using a toothpick afterwards had kept my teeth in pristine condition, he told me to keep up the good job! Now; I got to thinking... (Yep d*mn dangerous that!) WHAT IF; I actually brushed my Teeth? So I did! About two or three times a week and on special occasions (Pssst! Don't tell asawa that! Altho she is from the mountains, and keeps telling me one day she also be a mountain girl and will smile like her cousins lol) Okay; so I was never big on brushing but I do use dental picks to clean my teeth after every meal and so far *touch wood* it is working d*mn well! My Wisdom Teeth began dropping at around the age of 40 (yeah yeah was always a bit of a late bloomer hehe) and the pain was so bad I BEGGED them to rip out all four on the spot! Then about a year later one back molar which was damaged by a Wisdom tooth had to come out. So after 53 years, asides from that one tooth (and possibly SIX UNNECESSARY Fillings so I was informed by the Hospital Dentist) I still have a full head of Teeth :D (Wisdom Teeth don't count; those Son's 'o Biatches have NO rights to growing in anyone's head!) So my opinion is; Brush only when your other half is watching you like a Hawk, steer clear of Fluoride and don't be shy to sit back and pick those teeth after each meal! hehe Oh; and welcome aboard, when I am back later this year to live permanent Zamboanguita is our stomping grounds during the day while anak is at school, might have to share a Coffee one day with the Wife and I

My right leg is broken at the hip (been broken now since 1984 with nothing holding the break together) and I can swing my right leg into some weird positions, one day soon I might just enlighten you and answer that question if you care to watch? lol
Coffee is always welcome, I'm an addict! I loved your story hahah, I actually do the same thing with bones, crack 'em open for the delicious marrow...yummyy...we must be animals. haha I feel like the moral of the story is get the feckin' wisdom teeth out before they break other teeth...which I've been thinking of. Anyone know where to get fluoride-free toothpaste here???
Thats the prob im having finding a good dentist, on my other thread ive gotten a few reccomendations from users here which i intend to check out but if your having wisdom teeth issues, its best to get them out as there are a few different considerations to consider. 1st, the dentist should f'in xray them.. because some are just "impacted" not growing through the gum tissue resulting in a infection, whereas others are SIDEWAYS and grow forward/horizontally, and anyone picturing this will see what problem it will cause. Your teeth get all disaligned and messed up required braces, or something of that nature. You could actually be saving yourself a lot of money down the road by pre-emtavily getting this taken care of... It will def be cheaper than US, but choose your operating dentist wisely, as this is technically a "Surgery" you may need shall they not be exposed and just pulled. In the US, my orthodontist, actually went in and broke the teeth with a nutcracker type device and then took out the pieces, disolveable stiches, and 1 mo later i was back to normal.
Make a paste of baking soda and peroxide, taste a little salty but it works to clean and kills bacteria.
