AND, of course - "A Few Good Men " - - YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH "Top Gun" -- I HAVE A NEED, A NEED FOR SPEED.
I agree Wrye, some powerful movies didn't need dialog, like Hell in the Pacific with Lee Marvin and Toshiro Mifune. I never outgrew the creature feature and gory exploding head movies, while they aren't great art, if you have to get up and take a leak you don't have to hurry back because you are afraid of missing anything, so you only saw 17 exploding heads instead of 18 most likely you will never miss what you didn't see. Which reminds me of Saw, the first one, I think was interesting because it actually had some plot, the sequels and prequels were ordinary hollywood trash.

can anyone of my generation forget...Easy Rider...and Animal House..there are so many tastes for classic movies..we all can enjoy good ones and bad ones are like a sleeping pill
After I started downloading movies, I learned out of 100 movies there are may 2 that are really good. I use imdb and amazon to look at the ratings but even that is not that helpful. Imdb has a list of 250 of the greatest with another list broken down somewhat by type of movie. It's really a matter of individual taste in what is good or bad. Ebert's site over rates most movies. But I am happy that after years of seeing movie rates go up to around $10 a pop that It no longer am getting ripped of on mostly bad movies.
True. I've found the only way to get get an "accurate and honest review" is to find a reviewer that has the same tastes in movies as me which is not an easy task.
