I dont agree with that at all.. Being in the Military 7+ years and a Internal Medicine Dr, you can't "Control" Everything...but whom am I to say. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Wish the best of luck!

To whom and what don't you disagree with, If you are a Dr, then I would have thought, some of all things here should ring a little bit of Agreement as it is you, who would have to put the Injured back, all together again. Needlessly.

No! I think you are just arguing for arguments sake,

Not arguing, sorry, i Know its raining so you are all sitting around wanting to chit chat, but many of the diagnosis's(plural) ive given have nothing to do with prevention (ie, certain types of cancers, etc)..Sure i do agree there are preventative measures that can be taken to avoid accidents, etc. but if its going to happen its going to happen...that is where faith/science defines a line. Anyone/everyone has their own opinion and is very rightful entitled to it. I'm not into politics or arguing..i really honestly dont care what others views are, i leave that up to the politicians and people that are into that sort of thing. Thanks

You MUST be a local.....or else reincarnate of one. God ain't gonna turn that guy's turn signal on or buy a new headlight for you or anyone else. I am not a believer but if I were my thought process would be "God gave you the brain and flipped the switch on, it's up to you how you use it." If you want to leave that tool he gave you running at idle then that's your call. God knows we didn't get this far as a species with people like you running the show.

Just out of curiosity. Does god wake you up every morning, wipe your @ss, pour some water and food down your throat, pay the electric bill and so on? Seems if god were responsible for your survival...or lack there of, you would have no need to do the basics, everything would be at his sole discretion. So where is it, sir, that you draw that line between personal responsibility and "God's Will"? You're the person on the rooftop during the flood that turns down the rope, the boat and the helicopter screaming that god will come down and personally save you. If heaven is real and full of people like you, I'd gladly tell "Him" to suck it and try my luck in the other place. Perhaps some logic and critical thinking happens down there.

I personally have no issues with how the laws are enforced (or rather, not) here. The Philippines is freedom.....and with that comes the freedom to be a dipship if a person so chooses. It's sad that people get taken out in the collateral damage, but really, how smart were those taken out by the trikes and trucks if they weren't wearing a helmet or passing a trike at an intersection? Usually here, it's the morons taking out the morons with a few innocent being dragged down with them. The Philippines is proof that "freedom ain't free". There is a price to pay, and apparently part of that price in the Philippines is dodging idiots who managed to be just smart enough to balance on two wheels....or have a family member stupid enough to hand them the keys of a car.

Horizon , I don't think JP was saying we could control everything , it is more a case of reducing the risk factor of something actually happening , by checking our own vehicles , and operating them in a safe manner , we have no chance of controlling the the absolute mayhem and chaos of what is normal road behaviour there , but by being well and truly aware of it and catering for it in our approach to the use of the roads there , along with making sure our own vehicles are safe , we can give ourselves more chances of injury free travel , but we certainly can't control everything , I don't think anyone is saying that , we just don't have to leave everything upto the lap of the gods , that's all . Have a good day and take care , best regards Tony

You are smart enough to realize that your "Shut up and leave the country" comment is the reason people are on your @ss right now, right? That comment was very much "troll like" in appearance...and has gotten the responses a troll would be proud of.
