    looks like a mexican poppy. Usually are red, orange or yellow.

    It is a type of poppy, they have a few other colors of them as well. I was quite surprised how many different wild flowers you would see in spring there. Most are gone in the summer when it gets dry but spring can actually show a bit of color in what is mostly a brown, desolate place.

    looks like a common poppy or Flanders poppy, got some wild poppy in my garden in uk, they are small and yellow coloured.
