An update, Dick decided he did not want to attend the meeting with the barangay captain. Instead, about 10 am we received a text from the Captain stating the welder was at his house, ready to be picked up. Out of curiosity I removed the top (4 bolts), it had been cleaned inside and some grease smeared around a bit. It also had two (2) mismatched stainless bolts, 2 nuts, and one flat washer, total value around P25. There was still dirt on the threads of the winding mounting bolts so obviously that had not even been removed. Today I will hook it up to see if it actually still works. Larry
An update. The welder works fine. Nearly 2 years ago I loaned my tablesaw to a customer I didn't know very well. We built steel roof trusses for him, and as he was building with wood and asked to borrow the tablesaw, I loaned it to him. Well we have a project going on now, and Saturday I text him asking to use the saw. Sunday morning it was delivered to my house, complete with new diamond blade (and he didn't even ask for P3000!). That's more like it! Larry
Larry, I only just now see your post about "Dick" from Amlan.( Sorry to be so late!) Maybe I can help you out as our good friend is the Brgy Kaptian for Jugno, in Amlan - and I believe he would be happy to speak to "Dick's" Brgy Kapitan in your behalf - or have someone else 'talk' to this guy "Dick" personally....if you get my drift....? Does this Brit fella own a motel here in Amlan? Or might he live on Silab Rd? If either one is a "Yes" - I KNOW I can be of some assistance too you. Ayo ayo = Take care Your friend, Don
Larry, I should have added that we can put your welder in the back of my Easyride, so no problem with you borrowing anything...
