Water based roofpaint is mostly used on metal roofplates. It can be used on any metal but the color will fade away wich is a lesser problem for the roof.
Painting a roof can be very hot and therefore you better choose a quality product.
Among better quality is ROOFSHIELD from Davies, ROOFMASTER from Dutch Boy and ROOFGARD from Boysen.
I have only experience with Roofshield and Roofmaster and they are both good so the price may be a factor to choose.

Davies Sun and Rain.... colors Tinkerbelle and Tasty Tan; for the metal window grills used Island Enamel color Bon Ivory.

    Labor 3 painters 3 days 2500p.

Davies Paint has a web site, purchased the paint at Citi hardware but Robinsons is 50p cheaper for a 4 liter container.

The quart of enamel was 133p.

Lessons learned..shop around for prices and make sure the painters clean the walls prior to applying the paint.

Tip of the day. make sure the walls are dry and clean. wait for a few weeks before painting.

Make sure your painters first use sealer, or you are going to get problems later on. like peeling, blistering etc.

Make sure your painters use flat latex coat, when the sealer is dry.

Then when the flat paint is dry, finish with the top coat.

I have already gave good advise on this forum, and to a friend on here too.

I gained recently some experience with repainting our house (and got good advises from Jimeve !).
I have used here the last years several brands. For concrete walls (flat latex + top cover like semi gloss latex) I clearly prefer now Boysen. It was more pricy than others but much better to apply and less problems.
You only find out when you HAVE to buy another brand because the shop was "out of stock" of the previous paint you bought there so you bought another brand "also being good, sire !". It mostly has it price.
