    thanx guys...lots of comments, but noone knows where to buy this stuff of dreams :biggrin: I just wonder why the company makes big promotion, when I cannot buy the product anywhere...what a waste of money :cool:

    There is a sari2x store between Bayawan and Basay that sells it. At the section of highway that runs up to a nice looking beach with lots of shade trees and small fishing boats on the left, on the right is a group of bamboo houses. The second house on the right has a sari2x store with karaoke. That is where you can buy it. The people there are very friendly and will drink with you, they seem to have nothing but time on their hands and don't see many visitors. They will be interested to know every bit of information you are willing to give up about yourself.

    The Black Pearl used to occasionally have it in stock in Dumaguete. That bar has since closed. It is not a new beer. It is a low cost beer (cheaper than Red Horse). Check the smaller bars and sari2x stores where locals drink.

    As I stated earlier in my reply there is a Sari Store on the right hand side with a sign on the front (See attached Pic) around 10/12K's South of Dumaguete on the National Highway heading towards Zamboanguita...

    thanx Brian, I know this store, with an ornate promo sign for the Gold Eagle Beer, but the store is never open and there is not one drop of any beer available.
    the first concrete hint, but I am not sure if I take the trip, a bit far from Bacong just to buy a beer.
    I guess, there must be a typical funny filipino story behind all this. Gold Eagle beer belongs to our beloved St.Miguel brewery, their trucks make delivery every day everywhere, so why they not load some extra cases of their own product ? are they not interested to sell it to the people? Do the Negrenses refuse to drink that stuff because of bad taste or is there a boycott? btw, I didn't find The Gold Eagle also in Bohol island. But I still see the nationwide TV promo every night ...not that all this has a big importance for my good life here, I just wish to know the story behind :sneaky:

    I have noticed that Gold Eagle Beer is not available in urban areas to any great extent. By this I mean it is hard to find in cities like Cebu or Dumaguete. My guess would be there is a low profit margin on this beer and if vendors had to mark it up to make a profit then it could not compete with the big 3 (Red horse, SM Pilsen and SM Light). Even Colt 45 is hard to find in many areas and I suspect the reasons are the same. Its always about money.

    Bugger I was actually hoping to give it a try myself and that was the only place I could think of to buy it. My wife said she is sure her friends Mother sells it at the Karaoke Bar on the left hand side at the beginning of the Malatapay Markets. She said she has seen Red Horse, Beer na Beer and one time she saw Gold Eagle Beer there.

    I Normally buy Colt 45 from Hypermart but as you said, it is not always available and often they have not a single drop of any brand of Beer available, has made me wonder why also...

    If you live in Bacong, try Thy-hoo (spelling) sari-sari near Octagon resto, same side. I get all my beer from them.:smile:
