So we are sitting ar Anabelle Jeans Resto Bar, which didn't open until four pm today/Sunday. The cook is GONE somewhere shopping at 5:21pm, no tellng when he'll be back.

Well I'm getting some anonymous reputation comments (omg what will i do?) from those who apparently don't care about iffy service at Casa Blanca - just because the owner smiles at them etc. I guess.

I've met that type before here...

You keep on putting up with a little less everywhere you go, but don't complain it's dropped down to pathetic

 

I don't even know the owner personally but never had a bad service there.

I really don't understand this post, Gunther. I think it has been established that you do charge extra for butter, so this is not a rumor, we are discussing a fact.

"Respect the way or shut up" Does that mean if I don't have a good experience in your restaurant I should just shut up?? I doubt that is what you mean. I know the poster...he is not trying to anger you, he was just disappointed by having an unmentioned charge added to his bill. Maybe it is customary to charge extra for butter in Austria, but it certainly isn't in most of the world, so it's not surprising to me that your patron was surprised and disappointed by the hidden charge.

Also, you mention, "you spend here pesos and not dollars". If a restaurant here would like to re-price its menu in dollars and provide proper service, I say go for it. I am willing to pay for first-world quality and service.

Finally, "let things happen or you are in the wrong country". Well, I must completely disagree with you on this one. If one just lets things happen...the result will not be high-quality. If one of your cooks accidentally makes sauerkraut using lettuce, are you just going to "let things happen" and serve it anyway?!

Just curious, does DACA teach students how to handle unhappy patrons? How would you instruct your students to handle this situation?

May I please ask that we finally put to rest the Casablanca Wars? It has been overstated that there is a charge for extra butter as well as some complaints about service. No value add in repetition or pissing contests Simple solution, if you don't like it don't go there.
