Same with ours (and a whole bunch of other royals have german roots too).
Probably has to do with the Holy Roman Empire and its many constituent states who all had Kings, princes, archdukes, dukes and whatever other families that managed to pass themselves off as deserving royals to non-suspecting countries

You don't need to make at home, just go to Jolibee, or a house celebration near you (obviously not until restrictions are lifted). 'Spaghetti' here is an abomination.

Well, obviously since English, Dutch, Frisian, Low Saxon (plattdeutsch) and German (hochdeutsch) all stem from the same germanic language family, there's no surprise that there are a lot of things those languages have in common. It's not a coincidence that "anglo-saxon" refers to two germanic tribes that decided to move to Albion and pushed the original Celtic britons to the far ends of the island.

    Re pineapple:
You anglosaxon lot are aware that apples don't grow on pines right?
Most of the rest of us call them things ananas (42 languages); and yes, bananas without the b seems just as absurd, I know, however........
Nah, not bananas without a b, apparently ananas is a word from the Tupi language (an indian tribe in the south america's) :sneaky:
Come to think of it, it may well be the fault of the Dutch that you call them pineapples, since the Dutch call pine cones ...........
drumroll............. dennenappels (pineapples) :banghead:. Anyway, at least we get it right that them things grow on trees.
But no, the plot gets more complicated, it seems we need to blame the Spaniards for the pine in "pineapple", since they had the nerve to call an ananas piña, (after the cono de piña). So we blame Columbus for the pine, the Dutch for the apple, and yes, the Canadians for the hawaiian pizza, agreed. :hilarious:

You should be admonished for such a request. Did you request pineapple as well? :yuck:
Side note: It really irks me that Canadians created and popularized that monstrosity and then had the nerve to blame it on Hawaii.

I saw the sign, they said they relocated to Hibbard which is now named Airport Road. Did that relocation fold?

Walked by the old location today and saw a sign that announced Garage Sale.

So many restos and other businesses have closed because of the high cost of space rentals and customers come in trickles or none at all—-Sunburst, Bo’s Coffee Robinsons, etc etc. Shops or restos that will surely survive are those whose owners own their places of business (no monthly rental obligations) like Flamin’Grill, RM Coffee Shop, Koffichino, Tip Top Coffee shop or Tiffles, SansRival boulevard, Golden Roy’s, Cafe Filomena, Ma Mia’s, Gabby’s Bistro in Bantayan and Gabby’s Bed & Breakfast in Daro among others.

I saw KRI the other day down the street from Harold's Mansion on Hibbard Ave. approximately across the street from The Pearl.
