Yes, it is permanently closed. The site has a "For Lease" sign on it. It is a pity as one less option up here in Valencia.

Hasn't been closed for some time now. I saw some possible new tenants (Filipino) looking over the place today.

I was only interested in buying some British tea-bags, wife and I are missing a decent brew.

I used to buy English Breakfast there, also I think I saw Earl Grey ... not sure a Yorkshireman/Northerner (are you Yorkshire?) would drink those. They like them as strong as p*ss when you haven't drunk anything for a week!

Not a Yorkshire man, that's an insult. I'm from the other side of the Pennines. Greater Manchester, was Lancashire till the politicians f'ucked up.
Back on track, shame they lost their business, due to the covid-19 no doubt and lock-downs.

I don't they weren't doing so well before covid. Covid was just the nail in the coffin. Surprised they hung on as long as they did.

I think the owner still operates the BBQ place (purple building black gate) down the hill a bit across from the gas station. The menus had some similarities and tasted about the same. Maybe he moved his imported goods down there (or maybe you could find him or his wife there and inquire about that stuff).

Hello Jim, We serve Red Label in the restaurant. Sometimes I use PG Tips, but I have not been selling tea to take out.
I thought you knew it but we built a restaurant on Legarda at the corner of the turn off to Laverna and have been operating now since February. We are on Google Maps as Joy Bamboo Cafe.

Duh - I'm an idiot! When I wrote about the UK teas I had found "there" before, I meant in Dumaguete (not Spice - I have never been there).

    And here, for you:
